WaterWoman Tables

SUEZ SES’s Jennifer Steffens on Gender and Technology

I see I see my role in supporting gender equality within the water industry as sharing experiences. I think back and I’ve been a water woman now for about 20 years and over those past 20 years I’ve seen a big change when we come to conferences such as this one — that are many more women in a much more diverse community and so it’s exciting to see. I’ll add to that and say that we’ll continue to be a inclusive. So, if you see another woman, approach her… don’t be afraid… We’re in this together.

In order to make the change within the industry it will take all of us, so I will approach you and I ask that you don’t be afraid to approach me. Ask questions. Learn from my mistakes. The industry is constantly changing and and it’s a terrific place to be.
